The Youth Crisis Cards and Poster aims to remove the uncertainty of who to seek support and guidance from, with current and up-to-date details of services that can help young people in a crisis.

By scanning the QR code on the crisis cards or posters, you can open and save a digital copy to your phone!

Our Project/Communications Officer Mikayla Zanker and Youth Worker from headspace Swan Hill Kathryn Hindle were interviewed by Francesco from ABC Mildura Swan Hill about the new headspace Crisis Cards resource that was created to assist young people to access the supports they need in times of crisis.

Kat goes into detail about the youth crisis cards explaining how the aim of them is to remove the uncertainty of who to seek support and guidance from, with current and up-to-date details of services that can help in a crisis.

Mikayla also talks about the design process which included working with the headspace Youth Reference Group to gain some feedback along the way; she also discusses the ‘hidden youth workers’ within the Swan Hill and district region who will be displaying the cards and posters.

Keep an eye out for the cards and posters at local services and be sure to scan the QR code to save a digital PDF copy with additional information about the range of services available.

The pocket-size cards are a great reminder that help is always available and only a phone call away!

To access hard copies of the crisis cards and posters please contact headspace Swan Hill on (03) 4010 7100 or headspace@shdh.org.au
